Shipping Information

Buyer's responsible for shipping fees.  I will get you the best rate available.  Shipping fees are invoiced through PayPal and paid in the same manner as when you placed your order.  I notify you and invoice you for the shipping fee when your order is ready to ship.  Orders will not shipped until the shipping fees are paid.    

Shipping charges for furniture varies depending on the size, weight, the zip code being shipped to and if it is a residential or business address.  Shipping to a business can be much cheaper.

Items will be shipped by FedEx & USPS for small items and Common Carrier Trucking Company curbside delivery for our large items.

There are no refunds for customized items, unless the item is received broken, defective or an error has been made on the supplier's part during customization. 

PLEASE NOTE: My damage claims are very very low so please do not let this information below scare you from ordering any of my items.  I include this information for your protection just in case you do receive your item and it is damaged.

FedEx & USPS Damage Claims:

If package or contents is delivered damaged please contact Granny Jane's Wood Shed immediately.  It is the buyers responsibility to examine the contents for damages.  Take pictures of the package damages.  Once opened if the contents is damaged take pictures.  You MUST e-mail me the pictures to be able to file a claim.  If you are there to receive your package and notice damage you MUST show it to the driver.  Ask driver to remain there while you open your package to check for damage on the contents please call me immediately 814 687 3880.   If there is damage to the contents ask driver to note it when signing.  Take pictures and e-mail them to me.  Pictures will assist in filing a claim with FedEx.  Claims may not be covered without pictures so this is very important.  Damaged item must be returned in the original packing material as when received.

Common Carrier Delivery:

Common Carrier Company will call to provide you with the date and time for the delivery.  Someone 18 years old or older must be present to receive the shipment if shipped through a Common Carrier.

The Common Carrier service is Curbside delivery, meaning that the driver will unload your item, but does not deliver inside your home.  For this reason we recommend assistance with transporting your piece(s) from the truck to your home.  

Any and all damages MUST BE REPORTED to Granny Jane's Wood Shed within 24 hours of delivery which begins from the time your order is delivered.  If you do not report the damage within this time frame your claim will be denied.

Common Carrier Damage Claims:

PLEASE NOTE:  When you sign the driver’s delivery receipt (BOL), you are acknowledging all contents are in good order.

I strongly recommend opening your package while the driver is there to examine the contents for damage.  It is the buyer's responsibility to examine "package and contents" for "any damage" when delivered.  If the driver does not want to wait please call me immediately 814 687 3880.  

"Do Not" sign, write on or initial any shipping paperwork if you receive your package and there is "any visible damage" to the PACKAGING or CONTENTS no matter how big or small.  If the package or contents is damaged contact Granny Jane's Wood Shed immediately 814 687 3880.  If there is package damage and the driver demands you sign, write, or initial anything - please call 814 687 3880 so I can talk to the driver.  

You MUST show all damage to the driver.  I may ask you to take pictures of any damage to either the packaging and/or contents and e-mail them to me.  If nothing is noted on the Common Carrier delivery slip the claim will not be covered. 

Damaged items must be returned in the original packing material as when received.  If your package is delivered on a pallet it must be returned and secured on a pallet.  If approved, damaged item will be repaired or replaced with the same item.

No repairs or replacements will be made should you choose not to follow the process for damage claims.  "No Exceptions".

Shipping is to the 48 contiguous United States.  I do not ship to Canada, Alaska or Hawaii.
