Shipping Policy

All products will be shipped by FedEx for small items and Common Carrier Trucking Company for large items.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees.  Shipping fees will be calculated by the destination, actual weight and measurements of the packaged order.  You will only be charged the actual shipping fee to get your item from the supplier to your location.  Neither GJWS nor the suppliers are in business to make money on shipping fees.

Because most of GJWS items are handmade when the order is placed the actual shipping fees cannot be determined until your item is packaged and weighed when ready to ship.  Shipping fees are determined by the destination, dimensions and weight of your item. 

Note: Shipping on the larger items can be quite expensive; GJWS will try get you the best shipping rate available.

I notify you when your order is ready to ship.  Shipping fees will be invoiced to you through PayPal once your order is ready to ship.  Orders will not ship until all shipping fees are paid in full.

It is the buyer's responsibility to examine package and contents for any damage when delivered.

There are no refunds for made-to-order or customized items, unless the item is received broken, defective or an error has been made on the supplier's part during customization.  Damages MUST be reported within 24 hours of delivery which begins from the time your order is delivered.  If you do not report the damage within this time frame your claim will be denied.

FedEx Shipping (3-7 business days once your item is picked up by FedEx)

FedEx is basic home delivery.

FedEx Damage:  It is the buyer's responsibility to examine the package and contents for damages.  If package is delivered damaged please contact Granny Jane's Wood Shed immediately.  Take pictures of the damaged package.  If the content is damaged take pictures of damage.  You MUST e-mail me the pictures to be able to file a claim.  If you are there to receive your package and notice damage you MUST show it to the driver and ask for it to be noted when signing and also take pictures.  Pictures will assist in filing a claim with FedEx.  Claims may not be covered without pictures so this is very important.  Damaged item must be returned in the original packing material as when received. 

Please Note:  Insurance is not included in the shipping fee for FedEx.  This is a small fee to protect your item.  Damages are very rare but, I recommend my buyer's purchase insurance in case a shipping damage does occur.  Please see Insurance Coverage below for items shipped through FedEx and UPS.  Neither Granny Jane's Wood Shed nor supplier will be held responsible once order leaves the supplier if insurance is not requested when placing your order.

FedEx Insurance Coverage:  GJWS will not be held responsible for orders shipped by FedEx that are damaged during shipping.  Orders shipped through FedEx are insured for the first $100.00 of damage incurred during shipping.  Insurance on orders over $100.00 will be at the buyer's expense.  This is a very small fee.  If you want your order over $100.00 to be insured please make note in the comments section and GJWS will add the insurance fee once your item is ready to ship.  If you are ordering anything breakable it is worth the small fee.  If you have a question on an item GJWS will be happy to assist you.

Common Carrier Delivery (7-14 Business Days once your item is on the truck):

Common Carrier Delivery:  Is a basic shipping service through a common carrier trucking company.  This service will provide you with curb side delivery in front of your home.  Buyer is responsible for moving the item from the truck/trailer into your home/business.  Lift gate service is available for an extra fee.

Delivery Company will call to provide you with the date and time for the delivery.  Someone 18 years old or older must be present to receive the shipment if you have ordered a large item shipped through a Common Carrier. 

Common Carrier Damage:  If package is delivered damaged please contact Granny Jane's Wood Shed immediately.  It is the buyer's responsibility to examine the package and contents when delivered and make note of any damage on the delivery slip before signing.  If damage is notice on the packaging unwrap your package while the driver is there prior to signing the delivery slip to check for damage on the contents.  You MUST show all damage to the driver.  Both you and the driver MUST make note of all damages on the delivery slip.  You must take pictures of any damage to either the packaging or contents and e-mail them to me.  If nothing is noted on the Common Carrier delivery slip or no pictures are taken of damages the claim will not be covered.  Damaged items must be returned in the original packing material as when received.  If your order came on a pallet it must be returned and secured on a pallet.  If approved, damaged item will be repaired or replaced with the same item.

Please Note:  Damage Return requests must be reported to GJWS within 24 hours of receipt of your order which begins at the time your order is delivered, or your damage claim will be denied. 

Please Note:  No repairs or replacements will be made should you choose not to follow the process for damages.  "No Exceptions".

If approved, damaged items will be replaced with the same item only. 

Shipping is to the 48 contiguous United States.  I do not ship to Canada, Alaska or Hawaii.
